Honest review.
Velvet Evergreen captures everything good about a real Christmas tree without the synthetic-pine cheapness most 'evergreen' candles fall into. The fir note is the star — soft, breezy, and unmistakably a real tree, not an air freshener. I keep this one in the entryway from October through January because it's the first thing I want guests to register walking in.
Best for.
This cartridge is best for the entryway, the den, October through January, anyone who loves the smell of a real Christmas tree.
The schedule I run.
Run from 4 PM to 9 PM at medium intensity. Evergreens have slightly more throw than florals, so a shorter cycle is plenty. More on stretching cartridge life here.
What people are saying.
Bought it for the holidays, kept it through January.
I thought this would be a December-only cartridge. Nope. Velvet Evergreen has stayed in my rotation through MLK weekend and I'm not ready to put it away yet.
The good part of a Christmas tree.
Real pine, no watered-down 'tree air freshener' vibe. Smells like cutting a tree at the lot, not the Yankee Candle version of one. My favorite seasonal cartridge by far.
My in-laws asked where I got it.
Forwarded the link to my mother-in-law. She ordered one and a backup. That's the highest compliment I can pay it.
